Critics Consensus

The Rock makes a competent hero, but the movie is content to let a 2x4 do all the talking.

alan g Worst of the bunch. Walking small more like it. The Crock gets to flex his muscle because he can't act. Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/23 Full Review Brett M Exceptional Underdog Action Movie. I can not say enough about this movie. Walking Tall has been one of my favorite movies of all time since I was a kid. It tells a wonderful story of how a deployed military soldier (The Rock) comes back home. When he comes back home, almost everything has changed about his hometown. The town is now ran by drugs, a gang, corrupt cops, and casinos. The Rock must change what has happened to his beloved home. How can The Rock make it safe again for kids and families? He must run for sheriff. Walking Tall constantly adds new hurdles The Rock has to go over to get the old town back. It is a wonderful story with amazing action and cast. Thank you. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
